Math this year
We will be continuing to teach math from the program called "Math in Focus." We will be doing this math, which is aligned to the common core. Chapter 1 is a little bit of a review and we will reviewing how to count 1-10, write them in words, and be able to recognize objects and their amounts, comparing numbers, and recognizing patterns. Your student will also been learning about number bonds, addition facts to 10 with number bonds, and how to solve addition story problems.
October 13-18. We will be we will continuing Chapter 3, addition to 10. Students have been learning how to add by using the strategy counting on and number bonds. They have been also been learning how to add using different tools. The chapter 3 test will be given on Friday.
