Reading this Week
Unit 2, Lesson 6 Jack and the Wolf
Please have your student read Jack the Wolf fluency passage on the last page of the homework packet (blue, sent home on Monday's). This will help them become more familiar with reading a passage and will help them with their fluency.
Decodable Readers this week:
Have your child read each of the decodable reader books 3 times to you, sign and return to their teacher. Please also have them read the fluency passage "Curious George Goes to School" (on the back of the blue homework sheet) each night. They need to read 15 minutes and mark in on their September reading log. Practicing reading at home helps the student become a better reader. Thanks for your support.

Wednesday: A Duck in the Mud
Thursday: Ducks Quack
High Frequency Words: These will be sent home on yellow card stock each week. Have your student practice these words weekly. This will help them learn them faster and be a a better reader.
